Welcome to Good Scents: Pioneers of K9 Nose Work® in South Africa
Good Scents SA was born out of a shared passion for dogs and a keen understanding of their incredible olfactory abilities. Founded by Adri Albertyn and Natasha Donovan, our mission is to bring the world-renowned K9 Nose Work® training to South Africa, enriching the lives of dogs and their owners through engaging and effective scent work classes.
Our Journey
Adri Albertyn and Natasha Donovan, both avid dog enthusiasts and experienced trainers, identified a growing demand for specialized scent training among South African dog owners. Recognizing the immense benefits of K9 Nose Work®, they pursued rigorous training and certification as Associate Nose Work Instructors (ANWI™) from the National Association of Canine Scent Work® (NACSW℠) in the USA. This certification underscores their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of instruction and canine care.
In April 2024, Good Scents proudly launched the first and only accredited K9 Nose Work® classes in South Africa. To strengthen our team and enhance our program, we welcomed Samantha Walpole from Be The Dog, a well-respected name in canine behaviour and training, to join our dedicated scent team.
